GULF ISLANDS 5 Day Cruise    Price and availability     We travel across the Strait of Georgia from Vancouver - upper right - to the Gulf Islands - lower centre. This 5 day trip is the standard venue for people looking to complete their Basic or Intermediate sailing certification.

PRIMARY DESTINATIONS --

Clam Bay, Sidney Spit, Montague Hbr., Bedwell Hbr., Maple Bay, and Snug Cove. Our Cruise through the Gulf Islands provides a great venue for teaching all the requirements of a C.Y.A. or ISPA Sailing Course or just relaxing and letting the cares of the world wash away while sailing through the Southern Gulf Islands. Several of our primary destinations have excellent shore facilities which crew members may wish to visit. For those who are enrolled in a sailing course, the Basic will introduce students to the world of sailing and the fun of cruising. For those who have their Basic certification, emphasis of the Intermediate programme is on living aboard, improved sailing skills, and use of the cruising spinnaker. While some students will have completed their Coastal Navigation course and will be putting their new skills to practical use, we will help new students with navigation so that they will be able to see the relationships between their charts and their surroundings. At the end of the programme crew members will feel confident about chartering and skippering their own boat.
