GULF ISLANDS 5 Day
Cruise Cost --- $998.00 Single
$1798.00 Couple We travel across the Strait of Georgia from Vancouver - upper right - to the Gulf Islands - lower centre. This 5 day trip is the standard venue for people looking to complete their Basic or Intermediate sailing certification. This trip often runs from Sat. to Wed to minimise time away from work. This is also a great opportunity to move up to a larger boat if you have done your original certification on a smaller boat. Get a chance to sail the size of boat you are actually going to charter. For those who have extensive
experience, you may challenge the Basic level for -- $195.00.

We limit the number aboard to 4 clients so that everyone can have the necessary time on the wheel.
PRIMARY DESTINATIONS --
We usually spend our first night on the anchor at Clam Bay just after
transiting Porlier Pass. From Clam Bay the crew decides on our next
destinations. We can choose from any number of locations such as Sidney Spit, Montague Hbr., Bedwell Hbr., Maple Bay,
and Snug Cove. Our Cruise through the Gulf Islands provides a
great venue for teaching all the requirements of a CYA. or ISPA Sailing Course or for getting more experience
on a larger yacht while
sailing through the Southern Gulf Islands.
Several of our primary
destinations have excellent shore facilities which crew members
may wish to visit. For those who are enrolled in a certification course, the Basic will introduce students to the world of sailing
and the fun of cruising. For those who have completed their Basic
certification, emphasis of the Intermediate programme is on
living aboard, improved sailing skills, navigation and use of the cruising
spinnaker. While some students will be completing their Coastal
Navigation course and putting their new skills to
practical use, we will also assist new students with navigation so that
they will be able to see the relationships between their charts
and their surroundings. At the end of the programme crew members
will feel confident about chartering and skippering their own
boat.
