All of our programmes are ‘hands on’ cruises with everyone taking part in the operation of all aspects of the vessel. Instruction is provided with emphasis on safety, teamwork and fun. The price of your course/cruise includes boat, skipper/instructor, food, bedding, towels, as well as all study materials and work books. Depending on the course and the time of the year, you will be sailing and living on a 44' sailing yacht.

With the exception of 2 places October 2 - 6 Gulf Islands Basic or Intermediate we are now sold out for 2010.

Alternative dates are often available particularly when cruises/courses are booked early. We will build a programme to suit your requirements.

Queen Charlottes - 10/14 day legs / 2000nm -- This will be our premier trip for 2011.  The trip is done in 10 day to 2 week sections with special pricing available for people choosing to do more than 1 leg.  Most of the legs are suitable for several levels of certification.  We are in the process of putting together tours of historic sights for clients opting for the Haida Gwaii sections.

Van Isle - 15/21 days / 900nm -- This cruise is a circumnavigation of Vancouver Island. The trip includes an Offshore leg. This is a great venue for an Advanced course or just go for the experience.

Desolation Sound-Sunshine Coast - 9 days / 300nm -- This cruise is one of our most popular.  The highlight is sailing in the mountains -- an experience that is very hard to describe. This cruise is the preferred by people who want to do a Basic or Intermediate course at a more leisurely pace.  

Princess Louisa - 7 days / 200nm -- This cruise travels up the Sunshine Coast and into the mountains of Jervis Inlet.  It could be characterized as a miniature version of the Desolation Sound trip.   There is still the relaxed pace for those who are working on their Basic or Intermediate certification.

Gulf Islands - 5 days / 200nm -- Clearly the #1 choice for people working on their Basic or Intermediate certification. The Gulf Islands provide a venue to test all of your basic sailing skills while providing interesting anchorages and great places to explore. 

 

Booking Policy - $300 deposit per person - cheque, VISA, or MASTERCARD - on booking with balance 30 days prior to departure.    The deposit is non-refundable -- it is the cost of the course materials, postage/shipping and administrative costs.  You are not expected to return your books if you cancel your trip.

Cancellation Policy - Full refund less $300 administration/course materials fee 30 days prior to departure. Within the 30 days, there is no refund unless we are able to find a client to take your booking.  In that event, a full refund less administration fee will be made.  
It is VERY STRONGLY advised to make arrangements for travel insurance - particularly for longer trips that may be affected by adverse weather conditions and may delay arrival times resulting in missed flights.  In addition, we have had several cases where illness, injury, or family issues have prevented clients from taking their trips and, as we were unable to find another client to take their space, we were unable to provide a refund.
Sailcraft will make every reasonable effort to meet our schedule but we are not responsible for delays due to weather/safety related issues.  The safety of our crew is paramount.
A cruise/course will be considered cancelled by the student if full payment is not received 15 days prior to departure or suitable arrangements made.  There will be no refund.  There will be a $300 reinstatement fee.

Rebooking Policy - $500.00 rebooking fee within 30 days of departure.

Groups -- Put together a group and we will provide special pricing and a private cruise.
Prices are on a per person basis, tax extra.  Unless otherwise indicated, the pricing for these cruises is all inclusive - Boat, Skipper/Instructor, provisions, bedding, and towels.
